To be honest, I would not have seen Goon if it wasn’t recommended to me by a friend. It is surprisingly a fun and well done movie. Seann William Scott plays the main character  Doug Glatt who is not the sharpest, but a really nice guy who gets discovered by his town’s minor league hockey team. The team is not concerned with his ability to play. They want him for his fighting prowess. He becomes the team’s enforcer and rises up through the minor league hocker circuit.  Goon is filled with a bunch of cliches from sports movies, but it makes up that by telling a really enjoyable story.
